Commission: Magitek Armor by retinence Commission: Magitek Armor by retinence
This is the Magitek Armor from Final Fantasy.

It was an odd challenge because I wanted to get as accurate as possible to the original but there are no good pictures of this (at least none that I found). I had to use multiple references from different versions.

I didn't make a driver.

No, it's more like GI Joe scale.

Know what I love about your stuff? Little details like the inside of the cockpit.

Damn! That's really good! Based off the Amano illustrations, I take it?

Yes. I had to use other references to get most of the detail though. But the overall design is meant to follow the Amano illustrations.

Well, you did an excellent job of it! Especially considering what a hassle it can be to translate Amano's ornate yet occasionally abstract illustrations into something more...tangible. Now that I've seen this, I'm kind of curious as to what the actual in-game sprites would look like in Lego form...I always liked their more industrial-looking appearance.

Other builders have built the sprite version. I came across them when researching.

Ha ha, right on. I guess I oughta try Googling stuff like that before I say something. -__- In any event, very nice work! Fav'd.
