Beyond the Flames Chapter 10
"Why…why won't she come back up?"
My younger brother's voice was thick with emotion and anxiousness as we all continued to watch Ayane's Trial.
Ayane's opponent had fallen and her body dissipated into golden streaks of nothingness, Ayane was triumphant, however the crimson tint of the water from which she made her last shot from…
A bittersweet victory…
"Ayane, you must resurface," the white ninja's pleading tone held a certain edge to it "you have won. It is over, so you must come back to us."
The golden holographic image remained in a complete standstill as if locked in suspended animation. The transition of time lost as seconds turned to minutes without any results of Ayane's survival.
A soft thump sounded in my ear and to my right out of my peripheral I see Nya had collapsed to her knees, her hands covering her face as she weeps in mourning of the loss of a fellow kunoichi.
The azure ninja was at her side at once, yet he could offer no words of comfort to hi
Do You Like Blue? Chapter 5
I don't think I can take it.
It has only been a eleven minutes since those nurses took Nya away, but it feels more like hours. We had all moved from the entrance to the hospital to the waiting room next to it.
Kai had taken to pacing back and forth muttering to himself, while Zane leaned against the wall with his arms crossed surveying his surroundings. I simply stood there, glancing at the door Nya was taken through, ever few seconds.
Neither of us spoke.
What was there to say?
We all wanted to hear the same thing.
That Nya was alright.
But, where was Cole?
Soon after I think this, I hear rapid footfalls coming from the entrance. We all turn our heads to see Cole looking around anxiously. He spots us and runs to us, stopping in front of Zane.
"Where's Nya? Is she okay?" He asks breathlessly.
"We are still waiting for the update of her condition."
Beyond the Flames Chapter 5
I grind my teeth together hard to suppress the growl from escaping from my throat as I march up the stairs away from Ebony.
"I don't need your help or anyone else's."
Those damn words piss me off beyond belief.
I reach the top of the stairs and could hear voices coming from the dining room.
"Actually Nya, I would really like it if you wore that little number you had on months ago," Jay's voice rang out flirtatiously. "You looked very beautiful in it and I think it really does your body justice by accentuating the luscious curves of your—"
"PINEAPPLES!!" I yell furiously as I pass the entry way of the dining room and continue my march towards my brothers' and I shared bedroom.
Jay's yelp of surprise was followed by a round of laughter from Cole, Zane, and Lloyd.
I throw open the door once I reach it, but just pace around the room to try to calm myself down.
"Man, I know I was bad when it came to relying on others way back when I first joined the guys, but I w

The rain was still falling heavily over us, soaking and chilling my body to the core, as we made our way over to Nya.
The Marty Opinheimer School of Performing Arts
I thought I'd never set foot on these grounds again.
"Nya!!" Kai yells, as we stop in front of her, "Are you okay?"
"Yes, thanks to her," Nya replies looking down.
It's at that moment we all take notice of the unconscious girl laying in Nya's arms.
Long flaming red hair darkened to a smoldering crimson due to the downpour of the rain. An aquamarine-colored dress plastered to her body and light caramel skin with rivulets of water cascading down her serene face.
Is it is it really her?
If it was, then behind those eyelids are translucent storm grey orbs reminiscent of soft rain.
"Sasha?" I whisper.
*Flashback many years ago*
I stop and look up at the intimidating building.
The Marty Opinheimer School of Performing Arts, the place where my dad wants me to enroll and train to become

(Marty Opinheimer School of Performing Arts Auditorium)
"Jazz, you have the time?" I ask anxiously, fiddling with Sophia's pearl.
"Yeah, it's 5:26," she replied, glancing down at her watch.
We were backstage waiting for the show to start.
I peek out from behind the curtain and see that the auditorium was packed full with my peers and their families. I glimpse around the crowd and see if I can spot my family
"There they are!!" I exclaim excitedly.
I start trying to get their attention and wave to them, but I'm pulled back.
"What are you doing craziness, stop that," Jazz reprimands me, "no one is supposed to see you till you appear on stage."
"What are you talking about, this is a concert not my wedding," I reply, adjusting the golden bracelet around my wrist.
Jasmine rolls her eyes.
"You have to wait until the introductions are announced, so the audience can anticipate your appearance and be blown away by your beauty, elegance, and grace!" she en
Dance with the Earth Chapter 3
I get a solo mission, I think excitedly.
"Wait a minute Sensei," Jay says coming to stand beside me, "Nya has to go alone?"
"Yeah, shouldn't one of us go with her to watch her back," Kai says glancing at me worriedly.
"That won't be necessary, I am confident Nya can complete this mission on her own," Sensei says, giving me a nod of approval.
I feel a surge of fortitude flood my spirit. It felt good that Sensei Wu believed in my abilities enough to send me to
"Uh, where exactly am I going Sensei?" I ask curiously.
"Right below us," he says tapping his stick on the ground, "to Ninjago City."
"But Ninjago City is so immense, how will she find the next Master?" Zane asked with a baffled expression.
"With this," Sensei says, pulling out the Bo Staff of Waves and handing it to me, "it will serve as a beacon and pulsate when the Master is near."
"Also, I am sure Tempest will help guide you as well."
Tempest, I think looking down at my bladed gauntlets.

As soon as my face broke the surface and my body submerged under the sea, I was immediately comforted by the warmth the water provided.
Waves' deep soothing voice sighs pleasantly in my head.
Follow the Ninja of Ice Sasha, don't fall behind.
My eyes had already adjusted to my new environment and I scan the clear depths for Zane's white form.
There he is I think as I see his body swim strongly towards the bottom a few yards away.
Bubbles spurt all around me as I push my body to swim after him.
Mikatagahara is not a very deep body of water, but is still inhabited by thousands of organisms.
I see a school of brightly colored tropical fish swim past as we continued our descent to the bottom.
It's so beautiful; I think also spotting several coral reefs and other plants lining rock formations.
I remember all those years ago when Sophia and I would play on the beach in the evening and swim through the currents talking and laughing about numerous
Ninjago: Just Tell Me Chapter 2 of 2(Jay's POV)
I was playing video games with my brothers the next morning. I couldn't stop talking about how awful our date went last night.
"She was so not herself," I said. I didn't want to say ugly as I knew it would piss off Kai. "I had to pretend I had stomachaches to get out of there." Even in my attempt to keep from Kai getting angry, it didn't work perfectly.
"Why are you blaming my sister? Maybe it was you," Kai said with a bit of grunt in his voice.
"No, I don't mean to insult her, but dude, you weren't there," I replied. Kai put down his controller. "Where are you going?"
"I haven't seen Nya all morning. I want to go check up on her." I put down my controller too. I was too busy thinking of what happened last night I forgot about the present.
"Well I'm going with you."
"Good luck," Zane said with a smile.
Kai and I walked to Nya's quarters and Kai knocked on the door. I stood by the side of the hallway. What if it was my fault?
"Nya? Are you in there?"
