Pokemon: Medicham by retinence Pokemon: Medicham by retinence

Another pokemon I wasn't going to build until I realized it was possible. The lever/tubing technique (not sure if anyone has used it like this) made him the most dexterous creation I've ever made, capable of some crazy balance acts. I could've made him much better had I had a few pieces in the right colors.

Btw, Medicham is one of the coolest Pokemon ever, especially for not being a legendary or rare. He's in my top 3.

Is there really enough tension in the arm joins to pose them like a normal action figure or is it a pain to reposition them every time?

I like it either way!

The problem really isn't the arm, it's the shoulder, which can come off easily if twisted the wrong way. The arm itself is pretty stable, although I wouldn't have him carry anything. Posing them is fairly easy.

I think the mix of bionicle's and lego works perfectly on this, posable too while also retaining the look of the pokemon, well done :D

Wait, so most of his smaller joints are made out of those little antenna/control stick pieces?

Yea. They're stable enough when the creation is small. They're also quite durable and won't come apart unless you force them apart.

I never would have considered those as load-bearing joints. What do you use to connect them?

Rubber tubing. You can see them wrapped around the lever.

On the fingers, yeah, but I can't tell how the elbows are constructed at that size. :|

It's the same technique. I just put the lever through another lever base (put it in upside-down and all the way through) before connecting it to the joint lever base. Then added the round brick and then the tube.
