Wyndvern by retinence Wyndvern by retinence
The wondrous windmill wyvern by Team Steam. Team Steam includes me, Architect, and 55555.

Architect: [link]
55555: [link]

This was built during Brickfair using a very limited supply of pieces. I fixed up a few areas that were loose after Brickfair, but left the bulk of the model untouched.

This damned model is impossible to photoshop. I tried twice and both were dreadful.

It's from a Mars or moonbase set I believe.  I can't remember what category it's under so I can link you to it.  Sorry about that.

Nope.  The pieces come in all the colors you see.

If you are trying to think of a way to make the neck moveable, use the Rahkshi thighs. best for anything with segments. better than beams. trust me. Although it depends on how heavy the head is

I know about that. Hero Factory joints are stronger. The head weight is not really an issue. The tube bends back too much and will force the neck to bend less than I want it to. I haven't tried it out yet, but it's not an important feature for this model.

Iguessed since you built it AT the Brickfair. Will you be at the one in NH also in 2013?

I don't plan on attending. It's farther away than Virginia, and I don't have the funds to go to it.

Your advice to try and make the next MOC better than the last. Greixin is a new one as he was updated. I will post what I can get a picture of. My camera broke recently so...

No idea. I didn't buy it myself. One of the guys who helped build this had the parts.

ah i see, but it still valuable. Considering the Mata-nui titan set on amazon is listed at $300 who knows how much the old mars stuff is worth.

:iconretinence:

Liftarms rigidly create the curves. The Mars tube bends around them.

The hip connection is but not the legs. I need to secure the hip to the skeleton better. The legs are plenty strong enough to hold the model up.

i actually like this alot! its rare to see you do a sort of minimalist work, and even though it was a team build, it looks just awesome! Those wings are to die for..
