Edit:  I was able to change the pricing by fiddling with some estimates.  Here's the new pricing.

I decided to open commissions.  I'm going to be building around the same size creations as I have in my gallery using my new style of building.  I guess I'll start with 2 slots per month and see how it goes from there.  Prices are as follows:

Commissions:
-$120 per model (+$25 for large models)
-$90 for remakes of old models in my gallery (not all models will be remade)

Prices do not include shipping and handling.

I require a picture (or if it's an animal, the name of the animal) to reference off of.

Send me a note if you are interested, or email me at: retinence@gmail.com

OK. I'll start out by saying that I can commission you, yet. Would it be possible for you to include in instructions with the pieces to ? You could also send m an LDD file in email. How much would it cost to use such a method for a halo hunter with its gun?

I love how you integrate pieces to bend to imagination. My question is where exactly do your pieces?

Hey i was wondering, isn't illegal to sell LEGO for more than you paid for it? I know your using the money for more parts but my wife and i are arguing about whether its legal or not to buy LEGO and distribute it for more than paid for it.

He's not, because he's actually building a creation that's very detailed, and considered art. It's his creation made from Lego's, so I don't think it is illegal. :)

It is not illegal in my opinion, because the buyer pays for the pieces AND Retinence's combination of the pieces (Which the buyer couldn't combine to form such a creation). It's like buying a Scanner (for example) and have it installed by someone you hire - it'd cost more.

No idea honestly. I'm not the only one that does it. And my price is actually cheaper than most others.

Do you mean profit? All of my profit goes into buying new pieces when I order parts for the models I'm making. Buying more pieces at once means I pay less for shipping.

Not anything. There are some things that I can and can't build in my style. Or I can be limited my color or the price of pieces. If you had anything specific in mind, tell me and I'll say if it's possible.

There are certain details that look impossible (or just very hard) on him. For example, white hair and white skin in Lego would look odd together and changing the skin to tan limits the pieces I can use to make the face and hands. Then the coat provides another odd challenge. I can use cloth, which is a cheap way out; or use large Lego pieces, which will make him inarticulate; or use the piping technique I created for my corset, which will make him outrageously expensive.

So while yes, I can make him, I will not make him for a commission.

I can certainly make him recognizable, but he has a huge amount of smaller detail that I can't do (not that I can't do any). Adding in any of his detail will be expensive simply because of the amount of pieces I'd have to buy to create the effects.

So, yes I can make him and as a commission, but the commission price will be in the order of $200+, due to complexity and piece price.

I can make this. The price, however, depends on how detailed you would want it. I can use a red cloth (from Lego) for the cape and use plating for the head which will be $120. Or, I can get really detailed and use something like tubing for the cape and do an intricate design for the head. This would run up the price to about $170-$180. Email me if you are interested.

Hey I would be interested in a large custom model, but I would need to know how much the handling and shipping would be, because I live in Austria that's in europe :( and usually the shipping of large items from US to me is really expensive, it would be great if you could tell me how much it would cost approximately, so I know if I can afford it right now..

Your designs are just awesome - great art

The cheapest price I was able to find was around $45 (or 31 euro) using USPS. That was the best estimate I can get. If you are interested, email me at retinence@gmail.com.

I made a grunt already and he doesn't have a ton of pieces, so he falls under my charge of $90 for an older model.

The pink for the Needler is impossible unless the colors are changed (to red for example). Brute shot is pretty easy. And the DMR is possible but I probably won't be as detailed with it as some builders can be.
